Energy Efficient Appliances
By Russ • Feb 22nd, 2008 • Category: Featured...Energy Efficient Appliances are ingenious pieces of technology and everyone should think about installing a few certain products to help seriously reduce Carbon Dioxide emission and save considerable amounts of energy at the same time! Energy Efficient Appliances come in all sorts of shapes and sizes; from small Light Bulbs, to Washing Machines, and even Cars!
Working Together!
If everyone in the United Kingdom bought and fitted a mere three Energy Efficient Light Bulbs, then that would save enough energy to power every street in the whole of the UK! If that’s the case, then can you conceivably imagine how much energy you could save by simply installing Energy Efficient Dishwashers, Washings Machines, Air Cons or other larger appliances?!
The following are a list of Energy Efficient Appliances that you can purchase for around your home to help reduce Carbon Dioxide emission, save energy and ultimately money:
-
Light Bulbs
-
Fridges
-
Freezers
-
Dishwashers
-
Washing Machines
-
Tumble Dryers
-
Ovens
-
Heating Systems
-
Boilers
-
Air Conditioners
- Cars
To spot Energy Efficient Appliances such as these, look out for the ‘Energy Saving Recommended’ sticker that is labelled on certain appliances!
‘Energy Efficiency’ Stickers
To find out which of the available appliances are most effective and energy efficient, take note of the letters form ‘A’ to ‘G’ marked on each product. Appliances marked with an ‘A’ or ‘A+’ are the most energy efficient and are most likely the best around, whereas appliances marked with a ‘G’ are still Energy Efficient, however not as effective!
On the ‘Energy Efficiency’ stickers, you will also be told about some other useful bits of information that may help you cut down the energy and carbon emission caused by that particular product, for example, general information about that appliance, the amount of energy it uses, how loud the appliance is shown in decibels, and other useful details depending on what product it is that you’re thinking of buying!
Take note and pay close attention to the sticker, as it gives you great deal of knowledge about how Energy Efficient that particular appliance is! Very useful!
