Make Yourself Green is an attempt to bring together all the facts and figures about being more environmentally aware. To create a huge collection of articles, advice and features, which will hopefully make it easier for people to find out what they can do to be a little bit (or a lot) greener.

The Website is split into several sections. The most important of these are the Guides, Articles and Projects. Guides is where you will find fact and figures about energy, the environment, recycling, pollution and lots more. We spend a lot of time on each guide, trying to make them easy to read, informative and useful. Articles are more general. Perhaps a feature on buying an acre of forest, or some thoughts on the rise in enviromental banking (coming soon!). Projects is where things get interesting. Here you will find practical, step-by-step instructions on things you can do, at home, yourself. Creating a vegetable garden for example or building your own compost bin.

If you would like to submit a guide on a subject we have not covered, we would be very happy to hear from you. Likewise, if you have a project you think our readers would be interested in reading, maybe you have built your own wind turbine (and believe us, it has been done), we would be pleased to feature it.

None of us here at MYG pretend to know everything there is about saving energy, recycling, the environment or the other subjects covered. We are learning all the time as we research the issues, problems and possible solutions to living a greener life. Indeed, this is one of the main reasons this site exists at all. Everyone here at Make Yourself Green wants to be greener, wants to make a difference, but found it hard to find concise information on how to do that. We hope this website will make it easier for normal people with busy lives to find and follow advice for a greener life…
